Overview

Bali Hai offers 3 cruise options the first being the Lembongan Island reef cruise which offers a full day's activity both above + below the water. Here guests can enjoy the exotic marine life + colourful corals + a delicious buffet lunch. Cruise B offers the Lembongan Island Beach Club Cruise where guest can enjoy the relaxing on the golden sand beach, in the shade of the tranquil gardens or cool off in the lagoon pool. For the more energetic there are a host of other activities + an appertising BBQ. Cruise C offers the sunset + dinner cruise + there is no better way to spend an evening. As the sun goes down take in the cool night air on the top deck - be entertained by the famous batakos singers, savour a delicious buffet dinner, dance the night away or enjoy the live cabaret.

Gourmet Hors d'oeuvres and Fine Dining

Our cuisine is not just a meal but a fine dining experience. We begin with Hors d'oeuvres of Smoked Salmon, Caviar, & Lean meats served on fresh French bread smothered in cream cheese. We continue with unlimited complimentary Wine, Beer, Sodas, and refreshments. Lunch features a tantalizing array of Indonesian, European dishes and, fresh fruits.

Dolphins, Fishing, Swimming, Snorkeling

Our cruises and charters are designed to minimize Yacht motion. Dolphins normally appear to the delight of our passengers. We allow guests to snorkel or swim and enjoy the colorful fish and reef life. Fishing lines are always set to tempt game fish.

Privacy and Romance

Normal cruises usually have only a few guests allowing for maximum privacy on her broad 17-meter decks. The sunset cruise provides the perfect atmosphere for a romantic evening.

Although we provide many First Class Extras such as smoked salmon, caviar and complimentary Wine and Beer we are competitive with similar sized yachts.

Cruise # 1 Morning, Luncheon Cruise

Pickup at 8.30 AM Return at 1.30 PM Sail down the beautiful southern coast of Bali past thundering surf and picturesque cliffs to where dolphins normally are spotted. Hors d'oeuvres will be served under way along with refreshments. We stop at a colorful reef for snorkeling, swimming and a mouthwatering buffet lunch.

Cruise # 2 Romantic Sunset Cruise

Pick Up at 1.30 PM Return at 7.00 PM Same as cruise # 1 with Hors d'oeuvres, but no buffet lunch. Bali's coast takes on a magical glow as the sun slowly sets over the Nusa Dua coast and the traditional fishing vessels in Benoa Harbor.

Cruise # 3 Lembongan Island Cruise

Pickup at 8.30 AM Return at 5.30 PM Sail to beautiful Lembongan Island. Anchor in a tranquil Bay with colorful reef. A Glass bottom boat is included for snorkeling, swimming or sight seeing Complimentary: Hors d'oeuvres, Beer and Wine, Soda's, Aqua, Snorkel Equipment, Fishing Tackle A full Indonesian and Western Buffet Lunch or Dinner.

"Love Bird" Yacht Information

The Yacht was built in Taiwan. Her 51-ft. (17-meter) Length and 14-ft (almost 5 meter width) can carry up to 20 adults for day sailing. She weighs 28 Tons, which provides for great stability in the worse sea conditions. Proof of her sea worthiness is that she has already sailed 1 ½ times around the world and even survived a major hurricane. The famous Yacht designer William Gardener designed her classic lines.

The pilothouse design allows the skipper to steer from the aft station above, or the comforTABLE align="center" lower station in the main salon. In adverse weather simply go below and turn on the radar. There is no need to be wet or uncomfortable.

Rig

She is a Ketch rig with cutter staysail. This configuration allows for maximum balance and control by as little as 2 persons. "My wife and I were able to easily handle her on a 3 year extended voyage. The Harken roller reefing headsail works like a dream and can be handled by one person. Other sailors love her style and comment "she has classic beauty".

Interior

Her interior layout can only be described as a luxury home on the water. Rich carved teak interiors cover most internal walls and floors. Large safety glass offers a panoramic view from the spacious dining salon. The sunken living area is complete with a small refrigerator and Television with VCR. She also has a sound system with speakers throughout the interior and exterior. Two private cabins provide ample comfort and privacy for 4 adults. There is another double and single bed and also a crew cabin forward with own entrance.

Kitchen

The kitchen features a full freezer and refrigerator. An oven and gas burner stove provide all the amenities of a well equipped home. On the stern is a gas-fired barbecue that allows for mouthwatering sizzling favorites. There is an abundance of storage for months of food supplies. The water tanks carry 1,600 Liters and are complimented by a Water Maker that provides for unlimited fresh water.

Engine

The engine is one of the most reliable afloat built by Ford Lehmen Marine. It supplies 120 HP and is easily accessible. It had a complete overhaul in June. Her 600-liter fuel tanks allow for up to 700 nautical miles cruising under power.

Generator

She has a 4,000 kWh water-cooled diesel genset that supplies 115 Volt and 240 volt power to the refrigeration and battery chargers. This also was rebuilt in August 1998.

Instruments

She is fully equipped with Air Speed, Direction indicator, Two GPS 1997, Radar, and Depth Sounder with upper and lower station. Cooling Temperature, Oil Pressure Etc.

Steering

The hydraulic steering and Auto Pilot allow you set your course and forget about steering .Sit back and relax.

Rigging

All stainless exterior shourds and stantion through hulls were replaced in 1997 making for a strong safe rig that should last for years.

Ground Tackle

She is equipped with a Simpson power winch that is always reliable and can handle the worst anchoring situations. She has 100 meters of new chain (1998) and a Bruce, Danforth main anchor plus two light anchors.

Safety Equipment

The life raft was inspected and certified in June 1998. She also has Man overboard rings and buoys plus a 406 EPIRB that allows for emergency rescue anywhere in the world. Life Jackets are also included.

Dinghy's

A classic rowing fiberglass dinghy and a 6-man rubber dinghy provide ample transport to the shore. The Johnson outboard powers both dinghy's

Summary

This Yacht is usually the Queen of the Harbor wherever she docks and attracts the admiration of experienced sailors.

PRIVATE CRUISES IN PARDISE

  • Overview
    Our cruises can truly be described as some of the most exotic and variable Yacht cruises available anywhere in the world. The anchorages vary from idyllic traditional fishing villages to secluded secret Island hideaways. The landscape includes several major vocanic mountains, lush green valleys and stunning sunsets.

  • Ocean Conditions
    This area enjoy daytime temperatures between 75 F - 85 F which provides ideal conditions for cruising. The winds are usually between 8 to 20 Knots, which is perfect for the "LoveBird" to spread her 4 sails and cruise smoothly along the picturesque coasts.

  • Highlights
    The ultimate goal of our cruises is to visit remote Indonesian villages, where as a recent guest (who is an experienced worldwide traveler) expressed, "it's nice to go where you feel like you are the first person to ever set foot on the beach". We have discovered the ideal anchorages on Islands where a tourists are a rarity. The snorkeling and diving in the remote areas on our voyage provide a kaleidoscope of colorful Fish and reef life.   • Itinerary
    The number one rule in regards to cruising agendas is that "there is no agenda"! The purpose of a cruise is to relax and enjoy. Our goal is to leave hectic schedules behind and to "go with the flow". If our guests want more than one night in a particular harbor, it's no problem. Should they desire leave late because they want to go back and pick up a particular bargain or see a sight they missed, then we do it. Utilizin the "Love Bird's" powerful engines we can always make up lost time. Our guests are the Admiral, and their enjoyment is our number one goal.

  • Summary

    All on shore excursion meals, cocktails, and transport are to be paid by the guests directly to the provider except for Bali transport.

    Private Charter # 1
    2 day, 1 Night Paradise Cruise


    Day 1:
  • 10 AM: Guests are picked up in a modern air-conditioned van and transported to Benoa harbor to board the Yacht "Love Bird".
  • We cast off at 11 AM and leave Benoa harbor with views of colorful traditional fishing boats and a vast array of marine activities. The trolling lines will be set to tempt the game fish.
  • Our designation is beautiful Lembongan Island, 12 Nautical miles away.
  • After lunch a glass bottom boat will take you to the reef for snorkeling and swimming.
  • Later you may enjoy an optional shore excursion to see the seaweed farms, underground home, and hill top temple in this traditional Indonesian fishing village.
  • A full course gourmet dinner will be served on board prepared by our French Trained chef with imported wines followed by a stunning sunset with Mount Agung's spectacular volcanic peak in the background. This completes our first day in paradise.

    Day 2:
  • 10 AM: After a gourmet breakfast and a swim we sail for the Island of Nusa Penida and down through the spectacular channel that separates Lembongan from Nusa Penida. We will anchor in a magnificent remote harbor and dinghy ashore to meet the friendly villagers and stroll on the pristine beach.
  • Snorkeling is superb in Crystal Bay and the view is unbelievable. At this point in the cruise our guests often comment "it just doesn't get any better than this".
  • After another fabulous lunch and sunbathing we will set sail back to Bali's Southern coast where schools of Dolphins are normally spotted.
  • Finally we return to picturesque Benoa Harbor at approximately 4 PM after a magical cruise in paradise.

    Private Charter # 2
    3 day, 2 Night Paradise Cruise


    Day 1:
  • 10 AM: Guests are picked up in a modern air-conditioned van and transported to Benoa harbor to board Yacht. We Cast off at 11 AM and leave Benoa harbor with views of colorful traditional fishing boats and a vast array of marine activities.
  • The trolling lines will be set to tempt the game fish. Our designation is beautiful Lembongan Island, 12 Nautical miles away.
  • After lunch a glass bottom boat will take our guests to the reef for snorkeling and swimming. Later they may enjoy an optional shore excursion to see the seaweed farms, underground home, and traditional fishing village.
  • A full course dinner will be served on board with imported wines followed by a stunning sunset with Mount Agung's spectacular volcanic peak in the background. This completes our first day in paradise.

    Day 2:
  • 10 AM: After a gourmet breakfast and a quick swim we sail for the Island of Lombok approximately 30 Nautical Miles away. Lombok is referred to as "Bali before the tourists".
  • Our course will take us past the beautiful Island of Nusa Penida and it's quaint fishing villages.
  • Dolphins are often spotted along with the occasional turtle.
  • Our first Landfall on Lombok hosts a world famous surf spot "Desert Point" known for one of the longest waves in the world. Experienced surfers are usually observed enjoying this sacred surf spot.
  • We then enter the sheltered waters of Southern Lombok and it's many small Islands.
  • Our anchorage for the night is a secret hideaway that features a huge bay with a small fishing village. Over the past several years we have never seen another Yacht or foreigner at this location.We keep it a secret for the private enjoyment of our guests.
  • A shore excursion will result in a warm exciting welcome by dozens of children who wait for our usual offering of candies. They normally provide rare and beautiful seashells in exchange. The children will accompany you for a while and then leave so that you may enjoy a private excursion on the white sand beach. Snorkeling is great just off the point of the bay.
  • Sunset in this bay can only be described as magical. After another gourmet dinner our guest often comment "it just does not get any better than this"
  • We wake up the next morning to a glassy pristine bay, which invites our guests to wake up with a dip in the warm clean waters.
  • A colorful fleet of small dug out canoes will sail by returning from their nightly fishing expeditions providing for postcard quality pictures. Traditionally one of the senior fishermen will stop by to offer his fresh catch of calamari that our chef will turn into a mouthwatering Shish Kebab for lunch.

    Day 3:
  • 10 AM: Return to Bali after 3 days in paradise and one of the most glorious vacations of your life.

    4 day, 3 Night Paradise Cruise

    Agenda
  • The agenda for this cruise is the same as the three-day cruise with the exception that we return on the 4 Th day.
  • The third day would consist of weighing anchor at 10 AM and sailing up the coast of Lombok where we have a choice of two unique harbors for the night.

    Harbor Option #1
  • We anchor in beautiful Sengigi Harbor that affords wonderful snorkeling and swimming.
  • Sengigi is host to many hotels, restaurants, and shops.
  • There are several good nightspots to choose from with live entertainment.

    Harbor Option # 2
  • We sail past Sengigi to the Gili Islands, which are very quaint and beautiful.
  • Our first stop is Gili Trawangan for a shore excursion on the narrow paths with horse drawn carriages. No motor vehicles are permitted on the Island, which eliminates the associated noise and pollution.
  • You can enjoy the white sparkling beach or we can move around the top of the Island and snorkel in the most colorful and abundant reefs in this area of Indonesia.
  • Later we sail down towards the protected harbor of Gili Air, which also features no motor vehicles and fabulous snorkeling.
  • The sunset from this harbor over the Badung Straits with Mount Agung in the background is truly spectacular.

    Day4:
  • 10 AM: Return to Bali after 4 days in paradise and one of the most glorious vacations of your life.

    10 day, 9 Night Komodo Dragon Cruise


    Overview:
  • The ultimate goal of this cruise is to visit the World Famous Komodo Dragon in its natural habitat.
  • The dragons are located on Komodo Island, which is a National Forest reserve and thus only accessable by boat. These lizards can grow to 4 meterslong and weigh up to several hundred Kilos.
  • Experienced park personal will take you on a trail teeming with wild birdsand deer to their watering hole where you can observe them from as little as10 meters away in a safety compound. It is truly an experience of a lifetimeto visit this rare endangered species which can only be found in a fewremote areas of Indonesia.
  • Other highlights include secluded temples, valleys, mountains, and quaint villages.
  • The snorkeling and diving in the remote areas on our voyage provide a kaleidoscope of colorful fish and reef life.

    Agenda for 10 Day, 9 Night Komodo Dragon Cruise

    Day 1:
    10 AM: Guests are picked up in a modern air-conditioned van and transported to Benoah to board Yacht. Our designation is beautiful Lembongan Island 12 Nautical miles away. After lunch a glass bottom boat will take our guests to the reef for snorkeling and swimming. Later an optional shore excursion to see the seaweed farms, underground home, and traditional fishing village. Dinner on board followed by a stunning sunset with Mount Agung's spectacular volcanic peak completes our first day in paradise.

    Day 2:
  • After a gourmet breakfast and a quick swim we sail for the Island of Lombok approximately 30 Nautical Miles away. Lombok is referred to as "Bali before the tourists".
  • We anchor in at Sengigi Bay, which is Lombok's version of a tourist designation. Here our guests have time to shop and enjoy beachside cocktails with their personal Yacht sitting in the harbor providing some great pictures. At night there are several nightspots. Our crew will of course be on standby throughout the evening to escort you back to the Yacht.

    Day 3:
  • The next day finds us anchored off of a brand new Five star hotel in a remote pristine bay. The management will welcome you to enjoy their facilities.

    Day 4:
  • The Island of Mendo is our next stop. This Island is a nature reserve and hosts some of the best nature walks and reef excursions in the world. The world famous Arman Resorts hosts a five star establishment, which utilizes tents (with A/C of course) to accommodate their discerning guests.

    Day 5:
  • Komodo Island our major designation with its mysterious hills and valleys. Our excursion here includes a nature walk to visit the Komodo Dragon.

    Day 6:
  • Sumbawa Island. Traditional Village with horse drawn buggies.

    Day 7:
  • S/W Sumbawa Island and remote Bay with great reef.

    Day 8:
  • Southern Lombok Sepi Bay with its beautiful valley provides postcard quality pictures.

    Day 9:
  • Crystal Bay on Nusa Penida Island provides the perfect setting for our last night in paradise. Perfect Beach, reef and sparse village. To complete this magical voyage a sunset that encouraged a guest to recently write in the ships log." It doesn't get any better than this".

    Day 10:
  • Return to Bali after 2 weeks of the most glorious vacation of your life.
